Goldilox - King's X. I really do have more music than King's X. Really. This song is one of my absolute favorites from them. Great guitar work, great emotion. The solo is one of the best ever. I dunno, it's just one of those songs that makes me feel.
Brother Woodrow / Closing Prayer - The Afghan Whigs. If I didn't know better, I would assume that this is some specially produced mood music commissioned by Scorsese to punctuate a flashback scene. It really is cinematic…

Gone (That'll Be Me) - Dwight Yoakum. Dwight Yoakum is a much better person than Doyle Hargraves but I'm pretty sure that he is a tuning son of a bitch. This song is just fun.
Skin - Sixx A.M. Okay. This is melodramatic schlock. I have a lot of friends that love Nikki Sixx like he's a god but this is just not my cup of tea. The fake tremble in the singer's voice might have pushed me into hate territory. There is good stuff on this album though. It's just not on this…

Invisible Planet - Voivod. The singer had a cold the day they recorded and couldn't afford a retake. It was that or he's just a really shitty singer. Either way, the nasally vocals only somewhat detracts from the their masturful metal domination. Voivod would be much better with a different singer though.
Learn To Fly - Foo Fighters. I wonder what the drug was in the video? It looked like cocaine but I don't think that's the way people react to the stuff. If made…

Violence Fetish - Disturbed. I don't get Disturbed. They are a cut rate Korn and the Caribbean rap affectation makes me cringe. The song title and the band's name rub me the wrong way. There is nothing imposing or deviant about it. I am most definitely not disturbed. I am just angry that I own this terrible music.
Something Like That - NWA. MC Ren is kicking mucho ass. One of my least favorite NWA songs but I always enjoy it nonetheless.
Again - Alice…

So Fresh So Clean - Outkast. Rap at its absolute best. Real production, real musicians, fun chorus, bright lyrics. Jack Tripper is name checked! What's not to like about a song that mentions Jack Tripper? Nothing. I sometimes think that Andre is an exceptional. He's likely better than most people.
Sympathy For The Devil - Rolling Stones. This is probably my favorite Stones song. Funky tribal drums to open up, piano throughout, and somewhat taboo subject matter. It's…

In House Christmas Carol - Baby Cakes. This is my all time favorite Christmas carol. Go find it and enjoy. Never mind, I found it for you. This is a lesser version though. It lacks the essential Phoebe Cates passage.
Mudd - King's X. I have too much King's X. It shows up way too much in the shuffle and takes away from their…

Look @ Me - Tesla. More punctuation in a song title. Grrrr. An "at" symbol shouldn't be used as the word "at" ever. Tesla is a bunch of 50 year old rockers, not teenage girls sending text messages. Luckily this song rocks all kinds of sauce. Awesome sauce, magma sauce, hot sauce and a rollin' Bearnaise, they're included too. It gets really heavy in the middle and the guys get experimental with the lead. Great diversity for Tesla.
Big Balls - AC/DC. It's the first…

One Up The B Side - Ozzy Osbourne. Not overly familiar with it but it's definitely classic Ozzy and classic Ozzy rarely fails. Can definitely hear the Jake E. Lee sound here. Great solo. Much better than that schmuck Zak could ever muster. It gets a solid 3 out of 5.
Electric Head: The Ecstasy (Pt. 2) - White Zombie. Solid Halloween-y music for a Halloween night. Rob doesn't need a hot chick bassist in his band but it helps. Honestly, a hot chick bassist would help…

Earth On Hell - Anthrax. Power thrash. Damn. Just kicked my dog and will be visiting neighbors to kick their dogs. Really, no dogs were kicked. Yet. Don't think I can hype the new Anthrax album, Worship Music, any more than I have. It is the best Anthrax record period. The guys must have been taking metal 'roids.
Light Years - Pearl Jam. Warble Eddie returns. I do like this song but it will never be a song I would sing along to at a Pearl Jam concert. Binaural is…

Wasting My Time - Jimmy Page. Slide guitar Jimmy kinda sucks. He found something new and over used it. I like the singer though and it's a good song overall. Have no real feelings beyond that though.
Executioner's Song - Duff McKagan's Loaded. Here we go. Duff is a terrible singer but I like most of his music. This song is particularly dominant. It's more than a little evil and has a double ax attack solo. Oh yeah, Duff's book is by far the best of the former GN'R…

Tear - Red Hot Chili Peppers. I may have added the RHCP catalog back to iTunes too soon. I forget about marginal tunes like this. It's a blatant attempt to recapture Under The Bridge's magic but not succeeding. They knew it wasn't close but still chose to put it on an album. I do like the horn near the end though. It had to have been Flea or Frusciante that made that decision.
Wrong Girl - Jane's Addiction. Perry's vocals and Dave's guitar aren't sitting well with me…

Flying High Again - Ozzy Osbourne. Current Ozzy bores me. He has that Ask Dr. Ozzy book out and I couldn't care less. Even thinking about the current Ozzy makes me like this classic song less than is comfortable for a confirmed metal head of my caliber.
Santeria - Sublime. I know people that do practice Santeria, Bradley. If you gave it a chance maybe they could reanimate your corpse. It's been nearly 20 years now, but hope remains if you just believe. The last…

The Right To Go Insane - Megadeth. Crunching, good low end. Probably my favorite track on Endgame. It might need some urgency to make it great though. Too many flat spots. The kick ass solo cured my hiccups. Megadeth is medicinal. Megadeth will also give you herpes so only use as directed. Don't have sex with the Megadeth.
Bob's Party Time Lounge - Primus. The absolute best party song ever in existence. I've seen women get moist and men start pleasure fights when…

Give Me Your Love - Curtis Mayfield. (deep man voice) "Awww yeah baby.... Let turn the light down low.... That's better... Awww yeah." Okay, that's enough. Curtis has a fantastic soul voice. He has a serious falsetto. It's the only serious falsetto ever to be recorded. All of the others, no matter the context, sound like a Monte Python skit. Say no more.
Bloodstain - UNKLE. For one album among nearly a 1000, Psyence Fiction sure seems to show up in the shuffle…

Wasted Words - The Allman Brothers Band. Once you decide that Southern rock isn't silly or somehow just for the lessers, there is a lot to enjoy. Piano is woefully underused in most rock music but the Allman Brothers never shy away. The guitar can be a little twangy here and there, no major complaints though. I like it.
Day Dream - Smashing Pumpkins. Hold on a second, I don't hate this. It likely has something to do with the chick singing this track. Billy Corgan's…

Setback - The Constellations. It's good but it doesn't generate real emotion beyond that. Anonymous hipster Muzak. It's the kind of shit someone with tortoise shell glasses and unkempt hair would dance slowly to. I suspect that person is uninformed but likes to talk about politics and hash tags everything #OWS like a dickbag.
Porcelina Of The Vast Oceans. GADAMMIT! I've been on a silent crusade of hate against The Smashing Pumpkins since last nights Shuffle. I almost…

Love Will Set You Free - Whitesnake. Rock!!! This is very close to 80's Whitesnake. I also like that the video has an older woman as the object of Coverdale's lust. She was a looker.... for an older woman. Really good solo too.
Paths Of Glory - Faith No More. For the first time ever, I'm not feeling this song. It sounds dated and flat. Been loading up with new stuff lately. Hopefully some of that will hit.
How Fast - Rocco DeLuca & The Burden.…

The Black Rainbow - Coheed and Cambria. Understated isn't a word that should ever be used to described a C&C song so I'll call it subdued. You're never hit over the head with any kind of bombast yet they create a cinematic, epic song here. These are my favorite kinds of songs. This is also the song that cemented my permanent fandom.
You Don't Mess Around With Jim - Jim Croce. Jim sure likes singing about bad asses. I think this is the superior of the Jim Croce bad…

I Was In Love With You - Gutter Twins. I was in love with this song at one point but lost the fire. Think there is an ember still glowing. It's glow brightens now. I'm at REALLY like. Okay I love this song again. It works that way sometimes. Love is a mystery. The song is now only a memory. It was great while it lasted baby but there are new songs in my future.
Would I Lie To You - Eurythemics. Annie Lennox has decent pipes. She's not a great soul singer but is…

What Doesn't Die - Anthrax. I sometimes forget that We've Come For You All had more than a few decent tracks. This is one of them. Nothing exceptional, just decent enough to not make me angry.
Celestial Annihilation - UNKLE. Never cared for this. It misses the mark. Too much cheesy synth and the beat is marginal. It might have been cutting edge in the mid 90's but almost any kid with Garage Band could do it better now.
Trouble Comes Running - Spoon. I…
