Good Morning Captain - The Black Crowes. Another new one to me. Picked up this at the used place a couple of weeks ago. Somebody has some damn fine taste and just happened to really need $0.40. The bonus download code in the case was still active too. This is more old school country than southern rock. It's phenomenal.
Every Man And Woman Is A Star - The Cult. We're actually just made of star stuff, Ian. To be stars we would have to be so massive to cause a nuclear reaction at our core. Oh, I get it now. We're all "special". That's bullshit too Ian. I went to Walmart today and saw hundreds of people with nothing special going on.
Half The World - Rush. After a few hard listens to the newest Rush album, I've changed my mind about the Roll For Bones/Test For Echo era. It's not that great considering the greatness they still had up their collective sleeves.
Shoes - King's X. The A capella harmonizing at the beginning of the song is annoying. Glad the rock washes the annoying away. Solid effort by Dug and the gang. I do think that Dogman gets too much praise though.
Sweet Salvation - The Cult. I like the song well enough but can't help to feel that it's more of an inorganic studio concoction than a heartfelt outpouring of soul. It would have been better without the female soul singer adding her quips.
