I Wish It Would Rain Down - Phil Collins. There is only one Phil Collins song that I don't like and that is a cover. If I was Japanese I would call this song is super fantastic happy good. If I was Mexican I would say Mi Gusto. If I were gay I would lust after Phil. Luckily I am none of those things so I am just going to grow a skullet in tribute to the man and his wonderful works. This is one of his best songs by the way.
Do Me, Baby - Prince. Nice, straight up R&B Prince is great. This song makes me think of D'Angelo's Untitled but its different nonetheless. The slap & pop funky bass usually is a forced thing but I couldn't imagine this song without it. I think I read that Prince got all Jesusy and quit making pervert music like this. Too bad. I would like to think that Jesus is okay with an occasional discretion.
Ashes And Ghosts - The Cult. The Cult is firing on all cylinders on this song. It's beefy and aggressive. This album, Beyond Good & Evil is better than Sonic Temple and Ashes & Ghosts is one of the best tracks on Beyond Good & Evil. I was going to say that it's better than Fire Woman but reconsidered. It's Fire Woman's equal. Great all around.
Revolution Calling - Queensryche. I need a pretty good cause to do a trigger too, Geoff. I've been kinda down on Queensryche lately but this just lifted my opinion of them. This is superb in every way. All kidding aside, I doubt that you have much value as a human being if you dont like this.
U Got The Look - Prince. Whatever happened to Sheena Easton? I never thought she was appealing in any regard. That disdain was the seed that germinated a lifetime of disliking the English. Strangely, I do kinda like this song. I just wish that English broad wasn't singing on it.
