Invented - Jimmy Eat World. I really despise emo sentimental Jimmy. Jimmy sounds like a desperate, unlikable tool in this mode. Sorry that shit doesn't always work out Jimmy. It's not your father's fault either. Go write a rocker or shut up. Pansy. Wait a second.... Jimmy is teasing with a little chorus driven hard rock. Didn't last. In the end, Jimmy remains a pansy.
Bathroom Wall - Faster Pussycat. I couldn't be friends with anyone that doesn't like this song. That being said, I don't think I could be friends with anyone that heeds the advise of bathroom wall graffiti.
Go Tell Somebody - King's X. I really like the rockin' aspect of this song but it feels like there is some kind of subliminal pinko leftist propaganda under the surface. Some things are best kept to yourself there Duggy.
At The Border, Guy - Joe Strummer & The Mescaleros. Joe Strummer makes simplicity interesting. There's nothing overly complex here but he plays with vocals, synth and drum tone in such a way that you can't help but listen intently.
Oceans - Pearl Jam. This followed up by Porch made Ten a classic. Pefect way to open up side two of the album. I will be buying the PJ 20 documentary when it comes out on DVD.
