Am I Inside - Alice In Chains. Everything off of SAP is more than excellent. The whispering harmony is spooky perfection. The subdued piano.... brilliant. I'd make this song my wife if such a thing was allowed. Oh snap, I forgot about the Wilson sister guesting on backups. Not a whole lot of things are better than a Wilson sister on backups.
Hot For Teacher - Van Halen. The drum solo at the beginning confounds and excites me. That shouldn't be a possible task for a human. This song and video cemented my Van Halen fandom. I dug them before, bought the tape and everything, but this took VH to a whole new level for me.
Warlocks - Red Hot Chili Peppers. Ummm, shitty Kiedis rap but Flea is a funky motherfucker on this one, son. I heard from a reliable source that this song inspired Charlie Sheen's last coke binge and life motto. For a reliable source, I tend to believe she was full of shit on this particular tidbit.
Jungle Love - Steve Miller Band. The most 70-ish of all 70's classic rock. I grew a mustache and bought a Trans Am while this played.
Sin - Stone Temple Pilots. Very 90-ish 90's song. I grew a goatee, pierced my eyebrow and bought some Doc Martens while it played. Now I'm going to look like an idiot driving that Trans Am around. Guess I can call it irony and play up the hipster vibe. Weiland sounds fat on this album. I prefer a fat Scott Weiland.
