Jewel Of Summertime - Audioslave. Audioslave is a surprisingly proficient funk band. The new Soundgarden better be spectacular. (DEMANDS!) They had nearly two decades to come up with tasty beats and killer riffs. I will be livid if they experiment with funk in any fashion.
Hate Train - Metallica. Beyond Magnetic is more enjoyable than Death Magnetic. There better be a new Metallica album soon or I will throw a tantrum here in my home office. (DEMANDS!) I might record the tantrum and send it to a randomly absurd email address. FrumpButton@gmail.com has to be an active account, right?
Rabbit In Your Headlights - UNKLE. Dammit, more of the same on the shuffle. This has to be the umpteenth time this song has shown up on the blog. UMPTEENTH! Is the shuffle really a random thing on iTunes? I doubt it. Steve Jobs was obviously a fan of 90's electronica. Steve Jobs was also an awful person that was hell bent on limiting choice. That's it, I will be shuffling on the Google Music player from now on.
Checkered Floor - Silversun Pickups. This is a very good song by a very good rock band. I enjoy it.
Under The Bridge - Red Hot Chili Peppers. Time has a way of negating things that were once important. RHCP are about 1/10th as great as I once thought them to be. This song contains 2/43rds of the genius it held in 1991.
