The U.S.A. Wants Beauty Everywhere - Tuesday Shuffle

I've Been Everywhere - Johnny Cash.  I have been to 93% of the places Johnny Cash mentions.  It's not everywhere but it's more than most.  No one ever mentions that Johnny admits to being a murderous drifter after the first listing of locations.  It's disturbing.  That aside, this is a fun song.

The Beautiful Ones - Fol Chen.  This was on a disc of covers Spin released to celebrate the 25 anniversary of Purple Rain.  It's a serviceable rendition but still a piece of shit when compared to the original.  I'd say the same to Fol Chen's face.  I'm a rough and tumble trash talker that has a full can of badassery always at the ready.  Or something.

Want - The Cure.  My The Cure collection is woefully sparse.  They're one of those bands I always like but have never obsessed over.  Listening to this makes me wonder why.  This is exactly what I love about rock music.  Definitely going to pick up a few discs at the used CD place I frequent if the have any.

Verti-Marte - The Twilight Singers.  Zone out dance music.  If I did drugs this would be my go to listen.  It is, however, my go to listen when I'm in a mellow, satisfied place.  It's smooth jazz for the turn of the century hipster set.

R.O.C.K. In The U.S.A. - John Mellencamp.  If you don't love it you can get the hell out.  R.O.C.K. is one job this fella will fight to keep in the U.S.A.  Chinese R.O.C.K. made by Mexicans in Vietnam will always be inferior.
