Checking my Google Music uploads and it seems like a decent portion of my library has found its way to the cloud. Even though its missing more than a few songs it's peppered with enough to make an interesting shuffle. Here we go.
Silver And Gold - Joe Strummer & The Mescaleros. It's a bland, go nowhere kind of song that annoying hipsters love. This quasi folk stuff will be the end of popular music.
Fisticuffs - Primus. Alright! Saw on Facebook today that Les auctioned off a prototype bass he used on tour to benefit his nephew in his fight against infant leukemia. It fetched more than $50k. Somebody got a bargain. Fisticuffs is a top 10 or 15 word. It's brutish and elegant. I also tend to like the Primus march songs.
I Am Ahab - Mastodon. Here I thought you were a progressive metal band from Atlanta named Mastodon. My bad Ahab. Sorry for the mix up. Been fighting an ear infection for a few days now and complex music like this sounds like muffled noise. If'n I could hear it, I'd enjoy it.
Englishman In New York - Sting. Awww, hell yeah. This my jam, cuz. Why does Englishman get the P.C. pass but people get their panties in a bunch when someone says Chinaman? Hell, even spell check underlines Chinaman with a red squiggly mark but Englishman passes scrutiny. People and computers suck. People that program computers are the worst.
God Send Conspirator - Coheed & Cambria. Haven't fully absorbed the first album just yet but I dig the odd tones going on here. Even the infection can't muffle the goodness. Really looking forward to the new release in October.
