The Enemy Of Justice Has Been Released - Sunday Shuffle

My Enemy - Skid Row.  This band would have been the biggest thing in the world if ego didn't get in the way.  This isn't too far away from the early 90's sound of GNR or Metallica.  Hard edged enough to keep the headbangers satiated but mainstream enough to bring in the masses.  They're a more palatable Pantera in some regards.

The Beautiful Ones - Prince & The Revolution.  There is nothing negative to say about anything on the Purple Rain album.  I really enjoy the way this song ends.  It's impassioned and desperate.  Been there Prince.

23 - Jimmy Eat World.  Okay, Jimmy has tossed me lumps of shit in the past but I really like this song.  Even though it's pretty deep into emo territory they get damn experimental with the guitar riffs and tone.  I might even like this more than In The Middle.  It'll take more effort than I care to exert to get a conclusive answer though.  Maybe next week.  I don't like that he sings that he'll be 23.  He was closer to 40 when this song came out.

Purple Rain - Lavender Diamond.  Meh, I had the real thing earlier so this pile of poop cover gets a skip.

...And Justice For All - Metallica.  Justice is Metallica's masterwork.  Sure the bass could have been mixed in a little better every song on the album is great.  Not just good mind you, they're great.  This song has all of the hallmarks of the album as a whole.  Time changes, technical mastery, virtuosity, all that good shit that Metallica is good at.

Release - Pearl Jam.  This is the Eddiest of all the Eddie-centric Pearl Jam songs.  He warbles the fuck out of it and does it well.
