American Gigolo - Weezer.  I read the title of this before it started playing and was misread it as Just A Gigolo.  I was disappointed for a moment that it wasn't the Diamond Dave classic.  It was just a moment though because I do like this song.  Don't know why Weezer got tagged with the hipster label.  They're just a really good rock band that isn't afraid of the rock.

Heroic Dose - TV On The Radio.  Dear Science was pretty good but this French talky bullshit should have been scrapped.  I don't care if it is a bonus track.  Noting riles me up as much as an English speaking act with a song with French lyrics.  Frenchys singing in French is fine for the most part.  I know to avoid it.  Americans sneaking French into a song is the height of pomposity.  Really, I feel like I've been fouled and should get two free shot.  On top of that, this damn song is over 7 minutes long.

I.R.S. - Guns N' Roses.  Regardless of your opinion of Chinese Democracy, I think the whole album was the tits.  It's better than the bloated Illusions.  I.R.S. isn't my favorite track on the album but that's neither here nor there.  It is good enough for me to enjoy it when it comes up on the Shuffle.  The solo is really good.

Fans - Kings Of Leon.  Because Of The Times was more superb.  I'm embarrassed that the guys that were capable of masterworks like this, the guys I've loved for years, put out such a piece of shit last year.  This is gospel for non believers.  Soul filling gospel.

Runnin' With The Devil - Van Halen.  ROCK!!!!!  Everyone knows this song is great so I'd like to talk about Van Halen's new single, Tattoo.  People have been less than kind about it but it would be a great VH song if the chorus wasn't a plate of shit.  The guitar work is fantastic and most of the Dave-isms are tolerable.  It's just that TAT - TOO snippy chorus turns people off.  That is all.
