The Butterfly Invited The Sun To Make A Speech At The Car Wash - Sunday Shuffle

Speechless - School Of Fish.  All around great song.  One of the first CDs I ever had.  Had to play it through a DiscMan that I rigged to work with my car stereo.  Sounded really good for what it was.  School Of Fish was definitely one of those kick the dirt while feeling self conscious and sorry for yourself kind of bands but that has it's place.

Be Invited - Twilight Singers.  More slowed down kick the dirt, woe is me music.  This is more sinister, complete with guns and rock bottom thievery.  Mark Lanegan growling lends to the ominous mood.  Good stuff but want a kick in the pants after two slower tracks.

Workin' At The Car Wash Blues - Jim Croce.  Not exactly a kick in the pants but who would ever complain about a fun Jim Croce song.  It would be cool if there were still car wash places like the one described here.  There's one in town here that will wash off the windshield before you drive in but it's manned by a teenager, not a felon.

Butterfly - Candlebox.  I don't know this song.  Not digging it just yet.  The "rock" kicked in and it's still marginal.  Disappointment abounds.

Black Sun - The Cult.  Ugh, I'm not hitting the good stuff on tonight's shuffle.  The Cult is one of my favorites but this song is terrible.  It's more of a personal threat than a song. The whole album isn't that great either.  I guess the solo is okay.
