Lucky In Love But Feeling Down And Blue About Reality - Wednesday Shuffle

Backdoor Love Affair by ZZ Top.  Oh my.  ZZ Top is extra aggressive with the innuendo here.  Maybe they've crossed the innuendo line and are just being disgustingly blunt.  Who knows?  Not me as I don't go for this kind of tawdry business or seedy verbiage.  I do go for ZZ Top songs though.  8.7 of 10.

Clash With Reality by Pantera.  More awesome Texas rock.  Texas rock is among my favorite kinds of rock.  It's right up there with Athens rock, LA Strip rock, Seattle rock, prog, heavy, and igneous.  8.8 of 10.

Get Lucky by The Twilight Singers.  Dang, it's been nearly three years since Dynamite Steps was released.  Doesn't seem that long.  It may have supplanted Blackberry Belle as my favorite Twilight Singers disc.  Dulli needs to hurry the hell up and release SOMETHING (something being a proper LP).  It's been nearly three years after all.  9.0 of 10.

Blood Is Blue by The Futures League.  Straight up Jack White emulation.  BE ORIGINAL, YOU DIRTY HIPSTERS!  Also, skinny jeans are stupid.  7.0 of 10.

Don't Speak So Down On Yourself by Chris Isaak.  Isaak remains my go to weep maker.  Dick.  8.8 of 10.
