The Impression That I Get - Mighty Mighty Bosstones. Metal flavored ska! Or is it ska flavored metal? Either way, they should really concentrate on the metal. They're better at it.
Little Heaven - Toad The Wet Sprocket. They're the feel good Alice In Chains. Possibly the less interesting and wimpy King's X. I dig the harmonies. I would like the band a hell of a lot more if they backboned it up or grew a pair. A dash of aggression, yo, buy a bottle, son.
Heavenless - Howl. Okay, this is starting out great. There's a thoughtful doom vibe going on. It wouldn't hurt to dial back the vocals a bit. Howl is showing shades of Gojira and Mastodon now. Holy hell, I'm impressed with a SXSW track. It might actually be worth sifting through the much for a gem like this.
Lorelei - The Pogues. This song came up a few months ago and I said I've never met a Lorelei. I've met a Lorelei since then. Her name was the only memorable thing about her.
Unwelcome Company - Henry Wagons. This sounds like someone trying really hard to be on a Quinton Tarantino movie soundtrack. It would be good if it wasn't forced.
