Amongst The Waves - Pearl Jam.  Ugh.  Uninspired Pearl Jam is garbage.  There's no passion here, no reason to make the listener pay attention.  Oh Pearl Jam is still capable of making magical new music but they're tired and the great stuff only hits few and far between.  Guess I'll keep trying and hoping for a little magic.

Bothered - Candlebox.  Candlebox has been hitting with some frequency.  Guess iTunes wants me to like them.  This song is trying to good.  Not feeling the greatness though.

Snail - Smashing Pumpkins.  Roasted pumpkin seeds are better than sunflower seeds.  Just figured that out recently.  Okay, Gish era Smashing Pumpkins were great.  For a slower tempo song, this is wonderful.  I could listen to it more than once in a day.  The slower tempo songs on Adore are pure shit.  Ego can kill a good band.  Maybe that's what happened to Pearl Jam.

Friend Of A Friend - Foo Fighters.  Foo Fighter songs about Kurt Cobain are never great.  It's cool that Grohl was Cobain's band mate and all but some of us would rather look to the future than dwell on the shitty past of a suicidal heroin addict that wrote two decent songs twenty years ago.

Ballad Of Pure Thought - The Twilight Singers.  I've bought a shitload of music lately but the shuffle is still dominated by 90's bands or people that got their start in the Seattle scene.  Oh well, I sleep well knowing that most of my music is metal.  That being said, this song is beyond good.
