Beautiful Bongos Are Filled With Dynamite - Wednesday Shuffle.

Dynamite Steps - Twilight Singers.  So glad this came up.  I just put this CD in the truck to listen to on my way to and from work.  It's been a couple months since I gave this album a hard listen.  I'm already pumped about the drive on Friday.  I read a review that called this an epic song but I kinda disagree.  It would need to be longer than 6:44 to be epic.  It's the perfect length for an excellent song.  Gush over I guess.

Mondo Bongo - Joe Strummer & The Mescaleros.  I just realized I hate the word mondo.  Wasn't it shitty slang birthed in California forever ago?  Seems like I remember surfer dudes in movies saying it quite a bit. Shit, I'm more focused on that terrible word than the music.  I guess this song has some good qualities.  There is an accordion, a guitar, and a violin.  That's worth something.  Shit this is too long.  Definitely not epic either.  Too laid back for a 6 minute song.

Alone - Dinosaur Jr.  There was a power outage last night and I had to reboot iTunes, gonna have a few repeats I guess.  This is the 3rd or 4th time this has popped on the shuffle.  Whatever I said before still applies.  Hopefully my comments didn't get overly sexual or creepy.  I don't want to be the creepy guy that talks about sex too much.  Just realized this is 8 minutes yet feels much shorter than Mondo Bongo.  Fucking mondo.  Horrid word.

Big Sky - Probot.  Don't know this too well but so far it's pretty good.  Don't care for the vocals all that much but Dave is essentially at the wheel and I can tell.  Dave Grohl is the best musical talent of the last 20 years.  I will continue buying anything he releases until he starts using cliches as lyrics.  Hopefully that's another 10 years away.  He'll be 52 then and that's usually when that kind of laziness starts.

The Beautiful Ones - Prince & The Revolution.  I picked up a "best of" Prince disc this weekend and it only has one song from Purple Rain on it.  Gonna sneak away from the family tomorrow afternoon and spend on hour with the headphones listening to it.  I absolutely adore the way this song builds.  More of that cinematic, grand spectacle stuff.
