Sweet Ammonia - Meat Puppets.  Meat Puppets are riff masters.  Like, Tony Iommi level of mastery.  Sure, they get tied in with the dour Nirvana stuff but they're more than that.  Now I'm not making excuses for the lack of units they've sold over the years or their status as alternative influencers and I'm shocked, almost appalled, you'd even think that.  I'm no apologist.  I am saying that they are a really good rock band that more metal heads should respect.

Mosaic - Fear Of Men.   Meh, I don't care for the softly purring female hipster crooning.  That mousy shit is almost anti-woman, it feeds gender specific stereo types.  Sure, you're thinking of the Lilith Fair group of hippy chicks that were supposedly about female empowerment but Sarah McLachlan was feminine, sexy and smart without being preachy and women like Aimee Mann perfected the role of the mousy bad ass.  To sum up, I would like to have sex with Sarah McLachlan and Aimee Mann.  Not at the same time, mind you, because that would be brutish and insensitive.  I still don't care for this song.

Whimsical - Days Of The New.  Too bad that meth turns talented people useless.  Sure, the initial burst of focused energy can be inspiring but that stuff will eventually turn even the most talented person into a vile monster.  This group would have been better with electric guitars and less meth addiction.  Also, there is nothing whimsical about this song.  

L'Via L'Viaquez - The Mars Volta.  On the other end of meth - mescaline, peyote, LSD, hallucinogens in general, inspire some really good shit.  Kudos to The Mars Volta for exploring and documenting the inner workings of mind and spirit through an augmented reality.  There's no way they're sober when composing.

You're In Trouble - Ratt.  Ratt, Guns N' Roses, and The Cult were the best rock bands of the 80's.  If Stephen Pearcy was a decent singer, Ratt could have been one of the best rock bands of the 90's, 00's. and 10's as well.  Warren should be considered when discussing the greatest guitarist of all time.  He's Van Halen - Malmsteen - Page level good.  LISTEN TO MY OPINIONS AND ACCEPT THEM AS FACT, WORLD!  Sheesh.
